Due West Therapeutic Riding Center partners with the community
to promote engaged connections that emphasize the completewell-being of persons with disabilities by providing
interactions with a therapeutic team and utilizing equine-assisted programs.
We created Due West Therapeutic Riding Center (DWTRC) to
provide therapeutic riding services to children and adults with
disabilities and other therapeutic needs.Our program forms a connection between horse and rider that
improves our client’s well-being.In addition, our beautiful property offers families the time they
need away from their hectic lives.
Who We Serve:
Due West TRC, the first program of its kind in Wyandotte county, was founded in 2013 and is led by a driven, enthusiastic Board of Directors. Our program is designed to serve children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities; including autism spectrum disorder, Down Syndrome, developmental delay, emotional disorders and vision and hearing impairments. Due West TRC will serve individuals in Wyandotte, Leavenworth, Johnson and Douglas counties. We will also serve the greater Kansas City, Missouri and surrounding areas.
